LIL Chats is a dedicated space for open, non-judgmental discussions about mental health. Our platform is designed to support individuals in navigating tough topics like suicide and self-harm with empathy and understanding. This initiative is deeply personal, born from my own journey through significant life experiences.
My Personal Journey:
The inspiration behind LIL Chats stems from profound personal experiences that have shaped my understanding of mental health. After losing a close friend to suicide, I was compelled to create a space where such conversations could happen without stigma or fear. This tragic loss taught me that talking openly about mental health struggles is essential for healing and connection.
Reaching my 30s marked a period of redefining my own life, both personally and professionally. Relocating overseas and transitioning into new environments required resilience and adaptability. My time spent in the police force also played a crucial role in shaping my perspective on mental health. It exposed me to the intense realities of trauma and the importance of providing support in high-pressure situations.
These experiences have given me a unique insight into the challenges faced by many, reinforcing the belief that mental health conversations should be encouraged and supported. LIL Chats aims to offer a compassionate space where people can share their stories, find solidarity, and build resilience together.
